Radisson Hotel Group, which currently operates over 200 hotels across India and employs approximately 19,000 people, has announced ambitious plans to double its footprint in the country over the next few years.
According to Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and COO – South Asia, Radisson has 8,000 new keys in its development pipeline and expects to hire an additional 16,000 team members to support this growth. The expansion strategy is focused on Tier-II, Tier-III, and Tier-IV cities, with a strong emphasis on inclusive, sustainable development, including the employment of local talent in hospitality operations.
Radisson’s momentum in India has accelerated significantly, with 51 new hotel signings over the past five years — 36 of which were signed in the last year alone, marking its strongest year of expansion to date. The group plans to open 20 new hotels in 2025 as part of its ongoing growth trajectory.
Notably, Radisson remains the largest luxury hotel operator in Jammu & Kashmir, with seven operational properties and more under development, reinforcing its leadership position in the region.
