IIT Mandi Secures ₹133.79 Cr for Major Campus Upgrade

The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has floated an EPC-mode tender worth ₹133.79 crore for the development of key infrastructure at IIT Mandi, Kamand campus in Himachal Pradesh.

The project includes the design and construction of several facilities: a 401-bed girls’ hostel (G+5), an academic block (G+3), and a residential block for married research scholars and project staff (lower ground + G+3). The scope also covers a utility and electrical substation (ESS) block, along with comprehensive site development, including electrical and mechanical (E&M) services.

The contract will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, under a design-and-build model. This development aligns with IIT Mandi’s broader mission to enhance campus infrastructure and foster academic growth.

The deadline for bid submissions is July 29, 2025.
