The new Osmania General Hospital (OGH) in Hyderabad is scheduled for completion within 30 months at an estimated cost of ₹1,667 crore, as per the tender issued by the Roads and Buildings Department.
The 12-storey facility, including two basement levels for parking, will span a built-up area of 23.42 lakh sq. ft. Of the total budget, ₹979 crore is earmarked for the main hospital block. Additional allocations include ₹103 crore for male and female hostels, ₹72 crore for an academic block, ₹54 crore for utilities, and ₹17 crore for a dharmashala. Infrastructure development—such as roads, drainage, and nala covering—will cost about ₹18 crore.
Water and sanitation systems are budgeted at ₹24 crore, while ₹384 crore is dedicated to electro-mechanical systems, including power supply, lifts, and HVAC. The hostels and academic blocks will range from 8 to 12 floors. The project is structured around four construction milestones at 9, 18, 24, and 30 months.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha, laid the foundation stone on January 31.
