Himadri Maps Out ₹30,000 Crore EV Battery Material Expansion

Himadri Speciality Chemicals is set to establish a 100-gigawatt battery materials manufacturing facility to produce cathode and anode components for electric vehicle (EV) batteries. Expected to be fully operational within the next five years, the massive expansion project is projected to generate roughly ₹30,000 crore in additional revenue. While the final capital expenditure details are currently being wrapped up for an announcement in the coming weeks, Himadri has already commissioned a 400-tonne pilot plant to ensure operational readiness. This strategic expansion aims to capture the surging demand for battery materials driven by the global shift toward electric mobility.
