Himadri Chemicals Triumphs in Middle East Export Launch.

Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd. (HSCL), a global leader in speciality chemicals and advanced carbon materials, has completed its first-ever export of liquid coal tar pitch to the Middle East.

A 3,600-tonne consignment was dispatched from HSCL’s terminal at New Mangalore Port, marking a key milestone in the company’s international expansion and reinforcing India’s rising stature in the global carbon materials market. This shipment also establishes a second export corridor for HSCL, complementing its existing facility at Haldia. The company’s strong operational capabilities and resilient supply chain were instrumental in executing the large-scale export.

Liquid coal tar pitch—essential for aluminium smelting and graphite electrode production—is a critical material for high-temperature industrial applications. Commenting on the achievement, Anurag Choudhary, Chairman & CEO of HSCL, said the milestone reflects India’s increasing prominence in the global carbon materials ecosystem and the company’s commitment to reliability and excellence.
