HG Infra Lands Gujarat's 300 MW Storage Megadeal

HG Infra Engineering has entered into a battery energy storage purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) through its wholly owned subsidiary, HG Choraniya Bes.

Signed on 28 November 2025, the agreement covers the long-term procurement of a 300 MW/600 MWh battery energy storage system. Earlier, HG Infra had secured 500 MW/1,000 MWh of storage capacity in GUVNL’s Phase VI auction.

In a related development, HG Infra Engineering—along with Kalpataru Projects International, which holds a 40% stake—was recently declared the lowest bidder by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation for a ₹1,415-crore project. These milestones further reinforce the company’s growing presence in the infrastructure and energy sectors.
