HBL Engineering has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from West Central Railway for the implementation of KAVACH, India’s indigenous train collision avoidance system, in the Kota Division.
The contract involves the survey, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of trackside KAVACH equipment across stations and level crossing (LC) gates in the Kota–Ruthiyai section and the Sogaria–Kota "C" section, covering a total of 166 route km and 18 stations.
Valued at ₹54.12 crore, the project includes the erection of towers and all associated infrastructure required for system deployment. The work is to be completed within 24 months.
KAVACH is designed to significantly enhance railway safety by preventing collisions, controlling overspeeding, and ensuring signal compliance. This contract further strengthens HBL’s position as a key player in railway safety technology implementation.
Following this award, HBL’s total order book stands at ₹4,083.17 crore, reflecting sustained growth and a strong pipeline in the railway infrastructure sector.
