GVRP Expands into Bengaluru with Launch of GSRC CoE

Hyderabad-based GV Research Platform (GVRP) and Bengaluru-based Steps Biosciences have jointly established a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for formulations research and development, named GSRC, in Bengaluru.

The facility, located within the 1BLR Lifescapes life sciences cluster, is dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical formulations research and supporting innovation in the development of complex drug products. The Centre of Excellence is designed to provide specialised R&D capabilities aimed at accelerating product development and addressing emerging challenges in the pharmaceutical sector.

The initiative marks GVRP’s strategic expansion into the high-complexity formulations segment, an area witnessing increasing global demand due to the growing focus on advanced drug delivery systems and specialised therapeutic products. Through the collaboration, the partners aim to strengthen research capabilities and foster innovation across the pharmaceutical development value chain.

The new facility is expected to serve as a platform for scientific collaboration, technology development and industry partnerships, leveraging Bengaluru’s established ecosystem for biotechnology, life sciences and pharmaceutical research.

The establishment of GSRC further reinforces Bengaluru’s position as a leading centre for life sciences innovation while contributing to the enhancement of India’s capabilities in advanced pharmaceutical formulation research and development.
