Green Ammonia Gold Rush: SECI Extends Bid Deadline!

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, has extended the bid submission deadline for its ongoing green ammonia production and supply tender.

Originally issued on 07 June 2024, the tender falls under Tranche I, Mode 2A of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme, and aims to facilitate the production and long-term supply of 7,24,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually to 13 designated fertiliser plants across India.

The new deadline for bid submission is 30 June 2025.

As the implementing agency, SECI will aggregate demand and enter into 10-year long-term offtake agreements with selected green ammonia producers, offering commercial certainty and supporting the development of a robust market for green hydrogen derivatives.
