Greater Noida Secures Western Sydney University Campus

The Greater Noida Authority has approved Western Sydney University’s (WSU) proposal to establish its first campus in India.

The approval follows WSU’s interest in launching a campus in Greater Noida, a rapidly developing education hub. An official from the Authority confirmed that the board has cleared the commercial terms and conditions for the project. The university had earlier explored leasing space in Tower-2 at Knowledge Park-IV, where several floors remain vacant. The move is expected to broaden access to high-quality international education for students in the region.

In January, WSU signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government and the Greater Noida Authority for a four-year lease, which includes a rent-free period to facilitate initial fit-out work. The university aims to open its Greater Noida campus by mid-2026 and is already evaluating options for future expansion.
