GHV Secures ₹108 Cr Lucknow Metro Depot Contract

GHV (India) has secured a contract for the construction of a depot-cum-workshop at Vasantkunj as part of the East-West Metro Corridor under the Lucknow Metro Rail Project in Uttar Pradesh.

The contract, awarded by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), is valued at Rs 107.79 crore and is scheduled for completion within 18 months. The scope of work includes comprehensive civil and infrastructure development, covering structural and architectural works, plumbing, water supply and sewage systems, drainage facilities, pre-engineered building (PEB) components, electrical and mechanical installations, external development, road construction, HVAC systems and firefighting infrastructure.

The depot-cum-workshop will be equipped with advanced engineering and utility systems to support efficient metro operations. It is expected to play a vital role in the maintenance, servicing and operational readiness of rolling stock deployed on the East-West Corridor.

Once completed, the facility will strengthen the operational efficiency and reliability of the Lucknow Metro network, contributing to improved public transportation services and supporting long-term urban mobility development across the city and the wider region.
