GDA Fast-Tracks Raj Nagar Roads with Direct Land Deals

To expedite the construction of eight crucial roads under the zonal plan for Raj Nagar Extension (RNE), the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has approved the direct purchase of land from landowners—marking a shift from traditional acquisition methods that had caused repeated delays.

The planned roads include five 45-meter-wide roads, two 24-meter-wide roads, and one 30-meter-wide road. “These roads are integral to the zonal plan, and the GDA board has cleared the direct land purchase proposal to fast-track their completion,” said Rudresh Shukla, GDA’s Media Coordinator. “This move will improve connectivity and ease traffic flow for RNE residents.”

In addition, GDA now has the authority to sanction residential development maps in the area. Officials noted that a supplementary proposal presented to the board highlighted how all eight projects were stalled due to land acquisition challenges, impacting broader development efforts.
