Fujifilm Enters India’s Chip Arena with Rs 800 Cr Plant

Japanese technology leader Fujifilm is investing approximately Rs 800 crore to establish a state-of-the-art semiconductor materials manufacturing facility in India. Planned as a two-phase, staggered rollout with ground-breaking slated for financial year 2026, the project directly aligns with the Government of India's India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) 2.0. By leveraging policy support, Fujifilm aims to anchor its presence in India's expanding tech ecosystem, enhance domestic supply chains, and deliver comprehensive material solutions across both legacy and cutting-edge manufacturing nodes.
