Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) is upgrading its flagship Gujarat refinery in Vadodara to an expanded capacity of 18 million tonnes per year by the conclusion of FY 2027. Led by Executive Director Biplob Biswas via the Petrochemicals and Lube Integration Project, the expansion will scale up production from 13.7 million tonnes per annum. Currently, the facility relies on 30% domestic production and 70% international imports to fulfill its crude oil requirements, reinforcing IOCL's commitment to bolstering domestic manufacturing and meeting rising national fuel demands.
