EMS, in collaboration with its joint venture (JV) partner, has secured a contract worth approximately ₹781.98 crore for pollution abatement and rejuvenation of the Adi Ganga river in Kolkata, West Bengal. EMS holds a 74% stake in the project, with the remaining share held by its JV partner.
The company received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation after emerging as the lowest (L1) bidder on September 19, 2024.
The project will follow a Design and Build (DB) model, with a 36-month implementation timeline. Following the completion of construction, EMS will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the facilities for a 15-year period, ensuring long-term sustainability and performance.
This contract marks a significant step in EMS’s growing portfolio of urban infrastructure and environmental sustainability projects.
