Dynamatic Technologies Flies High with Airbus A220 Contract

Airbus has recently awarded a significant contract to Bengaluru-based Dynamatic Technologies, tasking them with the production of all doors for its A220 narrow-body aircraft. This milestone underscores a substantial stride in bolstering the 'Make in India' initiative.

The announcement was made during a ceremony graced by the presence of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on February 8, 2024. Dynamatic Technologies, known for its expertise, is already responsible for manufacturing the Flap Track Beam utilized in Airbus A330 and A320 Family aircraft.

India's emergence as a hub for aircraft component manufacturing is timely, attracting investment from global leaders like Airbus. The company aims to ramp up its sourcing of aircraft components from India to the tune of Rs 12,444 crore (USD 1.5 billion).

This contract represents one of the largest export agreements for an Indian aerospace manufacturing entity, marking the second time Airbus has entrusted such a significant door manufacturing contract to an Indian supplier. Notably, in 2023, Tata Advanced Systems secured a similar contract for manufacturing bulk and cargo doors for the A320 family of aircraft.
