Dumraon is set to undergo a significant infrastructure upgrade with ₹189 crore allocated for the repair and renovation of a 247 km road network spanning 114 roads, as announced by CPI(ML) MLA Ajit Kumar Singh on Tuesday. Singh credited his persistent efforts in the assembly for securing approval for the project.
Highlighting the challenges faced by the residents due to deteriorating road conditions, Singh said, "The roads in my constituency were in poor shape, with potholes, broken culverts, and disorganized traffic causing daily problems. After years of advocating, we have finally secured the necessary funds for reconstruction."
The approved projects include crucial routes such as a 13 km stretch from NH-922 to Dhakaich via Koransarai, a 19 km stretch from Krishnabrahma to Giridhar Baraon, and a 16 km stretch from Nawanagar to Baradi. Some of these roads had been in a state of disrepair for almost two decades.
The MLA emphasized his dedication to enhancing infrastructure, noting that he had regularly raised the issue in every assembly session, consistently presenting facts and data to push for action.
