Delhi Teachers University to Establish Permanent Eco-Friendly Campus in Narela

Delhi Teachers University is set to relocate from its temporary campus in Mukherjee Nagar’s Outram Lines to a newly allotted permanent site in Narela. Established in 2022, the university has recently received a significant infrastructural boost with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) granting 12.5 acres of land for its permanent campus.

While the university awaits formal possession of the land, construction work for the new campus is already underway. "The upcoming campus will feature modern amenities and be designed with an emphasis on environmental sustainability," stated a university official, highlighting the institution's commitment to eco-friendly infrastructure.

The transition to a permanent campus is seen as a crucial step in realizing the university's ambition to become a leading institution in teacher education. As part of this vision, the university is planning to expand its academic offerings with new programmes, including BEd, MEd, and MA in Psychology, which will further diversify its curriculum and create more opportunities for future educators.

"We are in the process of selecting a construction agency. Our goal is to build a state-of-the-art, eco-conscious academic institution that meets the evolving needs of teacher education," said a university official, emphasizing the institution’s forward-thinking approach.
