Following an onsite inspection of ongoing infrastructure works, Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has instructed officials to complete the long-pending Hennur-Bagalur Road concretisation within two months.
Implemented by Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure (B-Smile), the project has experienced prolonged delays over its 18-month execution period. To address these delays, an additional contractor is being onboarded, and the total length of the concretisation work has been increased from 4.6 km to 5 km.
As a vital arterial link connecting local communities and providing an alternate pathway to Kempegowda International Airport, the project is essential for regional mobility. Furthermore, official feasibility studies are currently evaluating grade-separated infrastructure—including flyovers and elevated corridors—to future-proof north Bengaluru’s urban network.
