Dabur India is set to commence construction of its first manufacturing facility in South India at Tindivanam in Tamil Nadu, with the groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for February 12, 2026.
The project follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government in August 2024. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will participate virtually in the ceremony, marking a key milestone for both Dabur and the state. The ₹400 crore facility will be developed in two phases. The first phase will manufacture products such as toothpaste, honey, rosewater, and air fresheners, with an initial capacity of around 11,000 tonnes. The second phase will focus on expanding Dabur’s food and beverage portfolio.
The plant is expected to become operational within six months of construction and will primarily employ women, while sourcing a significant share of its supply chain locally from within Tamil Nadu. Commenting on the project, Hrishikesh Ramani, Vice President–Manufacturing at Dabur India, said the company aims to establish a world-class manufacturing facility in the state, powered by advanced technology and operated entirely on renewable energy.
