Clean Water, Smart Waste: Delhi Cabinet’s New ₹100Cr Vision

The Delhi Cabinet has approved a budget of ₹100 crore for the rejuvenation of water bodies across the capital, aimed at strengthening pollution control measures and restoring key water sources. Chief Minister, according to Minister Mr. Sirsa, has assured full financial support to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated one-year timeline.

In addition, the Cabinet has approved the establishment of Delhi’s first e-waste park at Holambi Kalan. Spread across 11.5 acres, the facility will operate on a 100 percent zero-waste model while strictly adhering to pollution control standards. The park will feature advanced water recirculation systems to recycle and reuse water, setting a new benchmark for sustainable waste management in India.

Calling it a landmark initiative, the Minister said the project would be the country’s first state-of-the-art e-waste park based on zero pollution and zero wastage principles. The approval of both projects underscores Delhi’s commitment to environmental conservation and modern, sustainable infrastructure.
