Central Govt. Approves ₹1012 Crore Highway Projects in MP & Haryana

The central government has approved two major highway development projects worth over Rs 1,012 crore in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, as announced by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rs 531.84 crore has been allocated for upgrading a 63.50-km section of National Highway-34, stretching from Shahgarh to Damoh via Buxwaha and Narsinghgarh. The upgrade will transform the current road into a two-lane highway with paved shoulders and include the construction of five large bridges. In addition, four bypasses will be built at Buxwaha, Bhetera, Narsinghgarh, and Pipariya Champat, along with 1.3 km of service roads on both sides in the urban sections of Damoh.

In Haryana, Rs 480.44 crore has been sanctioned for the development of a 49.02-km four-lane stretch of National Highway-248A, connecting Nuh to the Rajasthan border via Ferozepur Jhirka. The project will also involve strengthening 6.84 km of existing roads in the villages of Malab and Bhadas in Nuh district.
