Capgemini Powers Dai-ichi Life's Global Tech Hub in India

Capgemini and Dai-ichi Life Holdings have entered a multi-year strategic partnership to establish a Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, designed to drive the Japanese insurer’s digital transformation across its global operations. By leveraging India’s deep talent pool of skilled IT and digital professionals, the initiative aims to enhance the Dai-ichi Life Group’s internal technology capabilities.

The GCC will focus on key areas such as software development, IT infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and cybersecurity. Initially, the center will support business operations in Japan, the United States, and Australia, with plans for future expansion into additional markets.

Operating under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, the center aligns with Dai-ichi Life’s strategic vision of developing strong, differentiated in-house technology capabilities.

“This strategic partnership with Capgemini supports our long-term ambition to build differentiated, internal capabilities through the establishment of our Global Capability Center,” said Tetsuya Kikuta, President and CEO of Dai-ichi Life Holdings.

Capgemini will bring its end-to-end transformation and delivery expertise to the partnership, working collaboratively to streamline operations, unlock data value, and strengthen cybersecurity across the organization.
