Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed three strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Oil India Limited (OIL), Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), and Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT).
The MoU with OIL focuses on developing a Greenfield Refinery and Petrochemical Complex near Ramayapatnam Port, Andhra Pradesh, with a planned capacity of 9–12 million tonnes per annum. The project has already received key statutory approvals and 6,000 acres of land from the Andhra Pradesh government, with pre-project activities currently underway.
In collaboration with NRL, BPCL will undertake the construction of a 700-km petroleum products pipeline from Siliguri to Mughalsarai, representing an investment of ₹3,500 crore.
Meanwhile, the partnership with FACT aims to promote green energy initiatives through the supply and trading of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) and Liquid Fermented Organic Manure (LFOM) produced from BPCL’s upcoming Municipal Solid Waste-based Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Kochi. The collaboration also includes augmenting BPCL’s depots at Mughalsarai and Muzaffarpur, and developing new facilities at Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh), Korba (Chhattisgarh), Khagaria (Bihar), and Tatanagar (Jharkhand).
These MoUs were signed during the 28th Energy Technology Meet 2025, underscoring BPCL’s commitment to sustainable growth and infrastructure development across India.
