Big Win: Varindera to Lead ₹1,307 Cr Srinivas Puri Redevelopment

Varindera Constructions has emerged as the L1 (lowest bidder) for the redevelopment of the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) colony at Srinivas Puri in New Delhi under the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).

The company submitted a winning bid of ₹1,307.79 crore for Package III of the project, which will be executed on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis. The scope includes construction of 1,220 Type-IV residential units along with basement and podium structures, as well as a police station, maternity centre, and related infrastructure.

The redevelopment is aimed at modernising government housing and enhancing civic amenities and service infrastructure in the area, improving overall living standards within this key residential cluster.

Other bidders for the project included DEC Infrastructure, Girdhari Lal Constructions, and Capacite Infraprojects.
