Big Win for Shreeji: Secured LOA for Kerwa Coal Project

Shreeji Shipping Global Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) from Kerwa Coal Ltd for appointment as Mine Developer & Operator (MDO), as part of a consortium led by Nuravi Imports and Exports Private Limited.

The contract has been awarded for a period of 20 years from the date of agreement execution, with a provision for a five-year extension at the discretion of Kerwa Coal Ltd. The award follows the non-fulfilment of obligations by the initial (H1) bidder, with the consortium being selected as the next eligible (H2) bidder.

Under the consortium structure, Shreeji Shipping holds a 49% stake, while Nuravi holds 51%, with responsibilities, rights, and profit-sharing distributed accordingly. The contract remains subject to certain conditions precedent, including the submission of a Security Deposit and/or Performance Bank Guarantee by May 15, 2026. Upon fulfilment of these requirements, the agreement will come into effect, enabling the commencement of project execution.

The company received formal intimation of the award on March 27, 2026, with the delay in disclosure attributed to procedural issues in receiving the physical communication.

This development is expected to provide a meaningful boost to Shreeji Shipping’s revenue stream and strengthen its overall financial performance over the contract tenure.
