Big Boost: Odisha Clears 24 Mega Projects Worth ₹3.7K Cr

The Odisha government has cleared 24 industrial investment proposals worth Rs 3,793.33 crore, expected to generate nearly 20,000 employment opportunities across 14 districts of the state.

The approvals were granted by the State-Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The projects span a wide range of sectors, including renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, textiles, tourism, logistics, food processing, electronics, EV components, and metal downstream industries, reflecting the state’s continued push toward diversified industrial growth and job creation.

Collectively, the approved projects are projected to create 19,924 employment opportunities, aligning with Odisha’s focus on employment-driven industrialisation. Among the key proposals is a battery energy storage system project by CESC Green Power in Dhenkanal, involving an investment of Rs 683.83 crore, and a lab-grown diamond manufacturing facility by AVP Star in Khurda with an investment of Rs 500 crore.

In the textile segment, Nandraj Textiles will set up an apparel manufacturing unit in Khurda, expected to generate over 10,000 jobs. The approvals also include hospitality developments, logistics and manufacturing units, EV ecosystem projects, and a Rs 300 crore expansion by Coca-Cola in Khurda, further strengthening the state’s industrial and investment landscape.
