Bennett Coleman Adds Four Commercial Properties in Santacruz for ₹262 Crore

Bennett Coleman and Company (The Times of India Group) has acquired four commercial properties in Santacruz East, Mumbai, for a total of ₹261.9 crore. The transactions were officially registered in March 2025.

The acquired spaces are located in Kalpataru Infinia, a premium commercial project by the Kalpataru Group, spread over 1.5 acres. As per property registration records from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), the total built-up area of these spaces is 43,622 sq. ft. (~4,052.4 sq. mtrs.), with a carpet area of 39,642 sq. ft. (~3,682.83 sq. mtrs.). The acquisition also includes 56 car parking spaces.

Each property was purchased at a transaction value ranging between ₹63.87 crore and ₹66.75 crore. The total stamp duty paid for the acquisitions amounts to ₹15.71 crore, while a standard registration fee of ₹30,000 was applied to each transaction.

Santacruz East is a key commercial hub in Mumbai, strategically positioned near major business districts like Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The area offers excellent connectivity through the Western Express Highway and the Mumbai Metro, making it an attractive location for corporate offices, commercial complexes, and premium residential developments.
