Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani met with Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at the Chief Minister's official residence to discuss strategic urban development initiatives.
The high-level discussion centered on accelerating the north-south tunnel road project under the Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure (B-SMILE) initiative, designed to significantly alleviate urban traffic congestion. Adani Enterprises has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the proposed 16.75-kilometer Hebbal-Silk Board tunnel road project. While the state government initially estimated the project cost at Rs 17,698 crore, Adani Enterprises submitted a higher bid quote, and the formal contract has not yet been awarded by the Karnataka government.
Despite pending final approvals, the initiative remains one of Bengaluru's most critical upcoming infrastructure endeavors.
