Sotefin Bharat, the Indian arm of Swiss automated car parking systems manufacturer Sotefin, has announced an investment of ₹45 crore to set up a manufacturing facility in West Bengal. The project will be developed in two phases: ₹25 crore will be invested in Phase I, followed by ₹20 crore in Phase II, with full completion targeted within 18 months.
"Bengal will become our global manufacturing hub. We aim to meet domestic demand for automated parking systems and also export to markets like the US and UAE," said Jignesh Sanghavi, Director of Sotefin Bharat. The facility is expected to boost the company’s production capacity and raise its localisation level from 80% to 100%.
Leveraging West Bengal’s skilled workforce and the company’s existing presence in the region, the investment is set to create local employment opportunities and support India’s rising demand for smart urban infrastructure, particularly in automated parking solutions.
