BEL Bags ₹2,323 Crore Naval Orders from MDL and GRSE

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a leading public sector undertaking, has secured major orders worth ₹2,323 crore from two prominent Indian shipyards—Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), Mumbai, and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata.

The contracts involve the supply of base and depot spares for missile systems deployed on Indian naval platforms. These orders are critical to ensuring the operational readiness and sustained performance of mission-critical naval equipment.

In an official exchange filing, BEL stated, “The spares will ensure operational continuity of onboard mission critical equipment,” underscoring the strategic importance of these supplies for the Indian Navy's combat effectiveness.

These orders reinforce BEL’s position as a key provider of advanced defense electronics to the Indian armed forces, contributing to the long-term reliability and effectiveness of vital naval assets.
