Avaada Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to invest ₹36,000 crore in large-scale renewable energy initiatives across the state.
The investment will support the development of 5 GW of solar power, 1 GW of wind energy, and 5 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across the districts of Kutch, Banaskantha, and Surendranagar. These projects are scheduled for commissioning between 2027 and 2030, further strengthening Gujarat’s push toward sustainable development and energy resilience.
Avaada already operates a 280 MW solar project in Surendranagar and a 100 MW plant in Vadodara. The new expansion is expected to generate over 1,000 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs, along with around 5,000 employment opportunities during the construction phase.
