The Government of Andhra Pradesh is advancing a key industrial initiative with the finalization of the master plan for a new industrial node at Kopparthy in Kadapa district. Spanning approximately 6,740 acres, the project is a key component of the Visakhapatnam–Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC).
The Department of Industries and Commerce has officially notified the master plan, designating 53% of the total land for industrial development.
The node will be structured to host four categories of industries, with 59 classified under the “red category”—covering high-impact sectors such as chemicals, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, mini power stations, and sugar.
This strategic development is expected to attract major investments, stimulate regional economic growth, and generate significant employment opportunities in the state.
