AESL: 1 Crore Smart Meters. Zero Delays. One Industry Leader.

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has achieved a major milestone by successfully installing one crore electricity smart meters across distribution companies, becoming the first company in India—and potentially worldwide—to reach this scale.

The company achieved the target well ahead of its earlier guidance of March 31, 2026, underscoring its strong execution capabilities. As of December 31, 2025, AESL had installed 92.5 lakh smart meters, and accelerated deployment in recent months enabled it to cross the one-crore mark ahead of schedule. The company now aims to install the next one crore smart meters by March 2027, marking the end of FY27.

As India’s leading Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider, AESL has a mandate to deploy approximately 2.5 crore smart meters across five states. It is currently installing around 25,000 meters per day, the fastest installation pace in the industry.

Commenting on the achievement, AESL CEO Kandarp Patel said, “Reaching an installed base of one crore smart meters is a testament to our benchmark execution excellence and our deep engagement with distribution utilities and consumers.”
