Adani Cement: A ₹2,900 Crore Bet on MP’s Future

The Adani Group is set to expand its cement footprint in Madhya Pradesh with the establishment of a large cement grinding unit in Guna district.

Adani Cement, the Group’s cement arm, has secured land for a six million tonne per annum (MTPA) grinding unit at Guna, involving an investment of ₹1,500 crore. The project is expected to generate around 300 direct jobs and nearly 1,200 indirect employment opportunities, providing a significant boost to industrial activity and local livelihoods in the region. In addition, Adani Cement has advanced plans for a second grinding unit in Ujjain district, proposing an investment of ₹1,400 crore and seeking approximately 70 acres of land for a facility of similar capacity.

Confirming the proposals, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) Managing Director Chandramauli Shukla stated, “There are two Adani proposals for Guna and Ujjain.” He added that while land has already been allotted at Guna, the Ujjain project is still under consideration, with Bhopal and Rewa also being evaluated as potential locations.

Adani Cement, which includes Ambuja Cements and ACC, already operates ACC’s integrated cement plant at Kymore in the state.
