ACME Solar Secures 50 MW FDRE Project with Tata Power-D

ACME Solar Holdings has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Tata Power Company’s distribution arm (Tata Power-D) for developing a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project at a tariff of ₹4.43 per unit.

This award is part of Tata Power-D’s 250 MW FDRE tender, conducted under tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) norms, with an e-reverse auction held on 13 August 2025.

Key project requirements include:

A minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40%, Four hours of assured peak-hour supply daily, 90% monthly availability

To meet these criteria, the FDRE solution will integrate solar generation with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and will operate under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The project is slated for commissioning within 24 months of PPA signing.

ACME Solar currently has an operational capacity of 2,890 MW, with a diversified renewable portfolio spanning solar, wind, hybrid, FDRE, and storage assets. Its in-house EPC and O&M capabilities contribute to high CUF performance and strong operational efficiency.
