ACME Solar Bags 130 MW RTC Railway Power Deal at ₹4.35/Unit

ACME Solar Holdings has emerged as the winning bidder for 130 MW under REMCL’s 1,000 MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project, quoting a tariff of ₹4.35 per unit.

A letter of award (LoA) is expected shortly. The power will be supplied directly to Indian Railways, which requires uninterrupted electricity due to its continuous load profile. To ensure dependable clean energy, ACME Solar will integrate solar, wind, and energy storage systems (ESS) to meet the RTC requirement. The company must maintain an annual availability of 75% for the first three years, rising to 85% thereafter.

The project must be commissioned within 30 months of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA). ACME Solar’s existing portfolio—with available land and connectivity—is expected to speed up project execution.
