Accelerating Nashik: Rs 7,922 Cr Ring Road Project Takes Shape

Work is underway on seven stretches of Nashik's 66.15-km outer ring road project following the completion of land acquisition for these sections. Part of major infrastructure upgrades for the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela, the Rs 7,922 crore project is being executed by seven contractors appointed by the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) with state-sanctioned funding.

While approximately 30 percent of the total required land is already secured, the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority is allocating around Rs 550 crore to the District Collectorate to expedite remaining acquisitions. Authorities are targeting full completion before the Kumbh Mela. Additionally, the Rs 221 crore widening and asphalting of the Dwarka Circle–Datta Mandir section on the Nashik-Pune highway is currently in the tender stage, with about 90 percent of its land already acquired.
