Caparo Power Scales Up Renewable and Industrial Energy Solutions

Caparo Power is stepping up its renewable energy push while exploring ways to revive stranded gas-based power assets in India, as it targets growing demand for reliable industrial power.

The joint venture between Caparo Group and Finnish energy company Wärtsilä plans to develop ground-mounted solar projects and is building a double-digit MW pipeline in the near term, with further capacity additions planned. It is also expanding solar solutions for captive and third-party consumers, targeting reliable, round-the-clock power supply for industrial customers.

Caparo Power currently operates a gas-fired captive power plant at Bawal in Haryana. The company is also working with data centre developers on on-site tri-generation systems that can simultaneously supply electricity, cooling and thermal energy.
