A New View of Lake Pichola: Minimalist Hotels Expands to Udaipur

Minimalist Hotels is set to expand its hospitality portfolio with the launch of a boutique heritage property overlooking Lake Pichola in Udaipur by the end of May 2026.

Located on Bhimparmeshwar Marg, the upcoming property — Minimalist – Lake Pichola Edit — combines the brand’s minimalist design philosophy with heritage-inspired hospitality experiences.

The hotel will feature 18 rooms across categories such as Maharaja Suite, Maharani Suite, Superior Twin and Superior King rooms. Guests will also have access to Cabami, a rooftop restaurant and bar offering panoramic views of Lake Pichola and the Udaipur skyline.

The property is housed within the historic Bawlas ki Haveli, a heritage structure dating back to 1820 that was originally gifted to a Rajput noble associated with the royal court of Mewar.

The haveli retains traditional architectural features including terracotta walls, jharokhas and heritage-inspired detailing that reflect the character of old Udaipur. According to the company, the structure has been carefully restored and adapted to meet modern hospitality standards while preserving its original architectural identity and cultural significance.

Commenting on the launch, Gautam Munjal said the project aims to offer guests an experience deeply connected to the cultural essence of Udaipur while reflecting the simplicity and thoughtful design philosophy of the brand.
