Venwind Powers Up with ₹800 Crore Wind Turbine Push

Venwind Refex Power Ltd, a newly formed venture under the Chennai-based Refex Group, is set to invest ₹800 crore in establishing manufacturing facilities for advanced wind turbines with a nominal capacity of 5.3 MW.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Refex Industries Ltd, which is listed on the NSE, Venwind has secured a key licensing agreement with Vensys Energy AG, a leading German company renowned for its innovation in 'permanent magnet, medium-speed' wind turbine technology.

Refex Industries has a diversified business portfolio spanning refrigeration gases, renewable energy, ash and coal handling, power trading, pharmaceuticals, medtech, and green mobility.

This latest move marks a strategic expansion into wind energy manufacturing, in line with founder Anil Jain’s philosophy of identifying high-potential opportunities, scaling them through organic growth or acquisitions, and entrusting their execution to seasoned professionals.
