NTPC has announced the commissioning of the second and final part of its 245 MW Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan.
The 78 MW capacity at Plot-1 of the project (part of the 3×245 MW Nokh Solar complex) will become commercially operational from 00:00 hours on December 18, 2025. With this commissioning, NTPC’s total installed capacity has increased to 60,783 MW on a standalone basis and 85,259 MW on a group basis.
Located in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan, the Nokh Solar PV Project uses domestically manufactured (DCR category) bifacial mono-PERC modules to generate solar power. NTPC’s continued expansion in renewable energy capacity marks an important step in India’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.
