NTPC's Nokh Solar Shines Brighter with 193 MW

State-owned NTPC Group has commenced commercial operations of a 193 MW unit at Plot-3 of its Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan, effective from June 9, 2025. This marks the operationalization of 193 MW out of the 245 MW capacity allocated to the plot.

With this addition, NTPC’s standalone installed and commercial capacity has reached 59,606 MW, while its total consolidated capacity now stands at 80,708 MW. The Nokh project consists of three plots, each with 245 MW capacity, and the commissioning of Plot-3 represents a key step in NTPC’s renewable energy expansion.

The project aligns with NTPC’s strategy to diversify its energy portfolio and support India’s clean energy targets. As the company accelerates the rollout of renewable assets, it continues to balance conventional power generation with a growing solar footprint.
