The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has approved the development of a 2,000 MW solar park, along with a 1,000 MW integrated energy storage facility.
This ambitious project, to be established within Madhya Pradesh, is designed to serve both Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh by leveraging their complementary seasonal electricity demands. Under the plan, each state will receive power from the project for six months of the year, aligning with their respective agricultural cycles.
Madhya Pradesh experiences peak power demand from October to March due to Rabi crop irrigation, while Uttar Pradesh sees higher consumption during the Kharif season. By aligning energy distribution with these seasonal needs, the project aims to enhance grid efficiency, ensure energy security, and support agricultural productivity across both states.
