India Gets Greener: Grew Solar Expands to 11 GW.

Grew Solar has announced plans to expand its solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing capacity to 11 GW at its Dudu facility in Jaipur, up from the existing 6.5 GW.

In addition, the company will scale up its PV cell production capacity to 8 GW at its facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The expansion, backed by a ₹300 crore fundraise, is scheduled for completion by 2026 and aligns with Grew Solar’s roadmap to strengthen India’s renewable energy ecosystem.

Commenting on the development, CEO Vinay Thadani highlighted the company’s commitment to integrating advanced technology and operational efficiency to reinforce India’s position in the global solar manufacturing landscape.

Alongside this announcement, Grew Solar unveiled its G12R High-Power Series, capable of delivering up to 635 Wp. The new series is engineered to enhance utility-scale efficiency, reduce module count, and lower balance of system (BOS) costs, offering higher container power density and greater power output per square meter compared to conventional modules.

Mohammad Rihan from the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) lauded Grew Solar for setting new benchmarks in technology and quality, while COO Hardip Singh emphasized the company’s focus on operational excellence as a key driver of its growth strategy.
