The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender inviting bids for the selection of solar power developers to set up 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected solar PV projects integrated with a 600 MW / 3,600 MWh energy storage system (ESS) across India. The projects will be implemented on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process under SECI-ISTS-XXI.
The scope of work includes the development of the transmission infrastructure up to the interconnection/delivery point, with the goal of supplying solar power to SECI at the developer’s cost. SECI will enter into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders, under the terms and conditions outlined in the bid documents and PPA.
Developers with already commissioned or under-construction solar PV projects with untied capacity are also eligible to participate in this tender.
The last date for bid submission is 22 July 2025.
