Torrent Power’s subsidiary, Torrent Green Energy, has successfully commissioned 322 MWp of decentralized solar power projects across 14 talukas in Maharashtra's Nashik district. Developed under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0 and aligned with Component-C of the PM-KUSUM scheme, these ground-mounted installations are tied to a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL).
By decentralizing renewable generation and placing solar capacity directly adjacent to agricultural load centers, the initiative ensures a reliable daytime power supply for rural farmers while optimizing local grid stability.
