Solar Spark: Luminous Expands Manufacturing Footprint in Odisha

Luminous Power Technologies has reaffirmed its commitment to Odisha by expanding its solar and energy storage manufacturing footprint, announced during a government event in Khordha.

Backed by progressive state policies and improving infrastructure, the company is setting up major facilities across the state. These include an advanced energy storage and manufacturing plant at Angul, focused on next-generation battery technologies and modern production systems, as well as a solar cell manufacturing unit at Gopalpur aimed at strengthening India’s domestic solar value chain. Both projects are currently in advanced stages of development and are expected to become operational in the near future.

At the Khordha event, Luminous showcased its integrated solar portfolio, featuring on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solutions, along with TOPCon bifacial solar panels, high-efficiency inverters, long-life batteries, and digital monitoring tools.

The expansion is expected to generate employment opportunities, support skill development, and drive local industrial growth. It also aligns with India’s broader renewable energy transition and energy security objectives by delivering scalable and sustainable clean energy solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
