Samruddhi Expressway: Maharashtra's New Logistics Spine

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced plans to develop state-of-the-art godowns and logistics facilities along the Nagpur–Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway, aiming to bolster the state’s logistics and supply chain infrastructure.

Speaking in the Legislative Council on July 7, 2025, the Chief Minister said, “There is a growing need for logistics and warehousing. After discussions with the Industries Department, it has been decided to form a joint venture between the department and MSRDC to build well-equipped godowns along the Samruddhi corridor.”

These warehousing hubs will be established on land adjoining the expressway and will feature modern storage facilities integrated with advanced supply chain systems to support agriculture, manufacturing, and e-commerce sectors.

In addition, the state plans to link the expressway to the upcoming Vadhvan Port, enhancing multimodal connectivity and positioning Maharashtra as a major logistics and export hub.
