PNC Infratech Hit with 3-Year Road Project Debarment by NHAI

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has slapped a three-year debarment on Awadh Expressway, a subsidiary and concessionaire of PNC Infratech. Because the ban extends to PNC Infratech in its role as promoter, the company is barred from bidding on upcoming road projects floated by NHAI, MoRTH, and associated agencies for the next three years.

The penalty stems from earlier show-cause notices concerning damage sustained on an isolated section of the Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway Package-2 during its maintenance phase. While PNC Infratech and its subsidiary are exploring legal options to challenge the order, the company has reassured stakeholders that its ongoing operations, active projects, and financial standing remain unaffected.
